This booklet should really have appeared in the column that never was, i.e. the last ISIS. However, in the absence of any other new books it seemed sensible to hold it over until now.

'ROLLING DOWN THE ROAD - BOB DYLAN'S 1996 CONCERTS' is the latest publication in an ongoing series of work that covers all Bob Dylan's performing activities during a chosen year, and as the subtitle suggests this booklet looks back at 1996.

Wyvill and Wraith have already produced a number of booklets in this popular series, so an in-depth description of the contents is likely to be a little superfluous here.

As with all the previous publications 'ROLLING DOWN THE ROAD...' includes a commentary on the year in question, tour schedules, track-listings, tour charts and many previously unseen photographs, some in colour. The quality of the photographs is a little varied, but viewed collectively they provide a wonderful document of that years activities.
