Both of the above items are "Time Out Of Mind" songbooks. Well, sort of. Firstly, the official "Time Out Of Mind" songbook is now available from all good book shops. That'll probably mean that you won't be able to find a copy, so you may as well order from 'My Back Pages' who now have this item in stock. Published by Amsco Publications this is what we have all been waiting for, the official lyrics to "TOOM". Yes, now you can sing along to yourself, or even in public, and be sure that you've got all those difficult words just right. I must say that at first I found many of the lyrics to this album rather difficult to grasp. However, having now seen the songbook, it seems that in the end only 'Cold Irons Bound' really had me beat.

Of course official song books don't only contain lyrics, if you are a budding, or maybe even a talented musician, all those funny little black tadpole like things are there as well. The publisher certainly can't be accused of being overly extravagant with their embellishment of the book. The front - glossy cover - of this 9"x12" item carry's an abridged version of the "TOOM" album cover, while the back, you guessed it, is a reproduction of the rear of the album cover. "Tiempo Inmemorial" is testimony to the old adage that size isn't everything, well, not always. This 12x12 cm. Cd size booklet, obviously designed to pop inside the jewel case of your "TOOM" Cd, has clearly been designed with lots of tender loving care. Most of the booklets 24 pages has some sort of illustration, Mary Jane, her house in Baltimore, or the simple but effective use of the Mississippi paddle steamer on the back cover.
